Youth (8+)

I offer supportive, age-appropriate counselling for children and youth aged 8 and up. Whether they’re navigating anxiety, peer relationships, grief, school challenges, bullying, self harm, building friendships, divorce or big emotions, my approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and connection. I also have experience working with neurodivergent youth, including those with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), using strategies that honour their unique ways of thinking and interacting with the world. I create a safe space where young people feel heard and understood, using evidence-based interventions tailored to their individual needs and developmental stage. Collaboration with caregivers is an important part of the process, supporting the growth and well-being of the whole child.

Play therapy is a counselling approach I offer for young children because it allows them to express thoughts and feelings that can be difficult to put into words. Through play, children can explore emotions, process challenging experiences, and develop coping skills in a safe and supportive environment. Using activities such as art, games, storytelling, role-play, and sand play, this modality helps children build confidence, improve emotional regulation, and find constructive ways to navigate life’s challenges. Play therapy meets children where they are, empowering them to express themselves, make sense of their experiences, and grow in meaningful ways.

Adults

I provide counselling support for adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, stress, grief, low mood, depression, or major life transitions. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which helps you explore the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful patterns, build practical coping skills, and develop strategies that support meaningful, lasting change.

Sessions are collaborative, goal-focused, and tailored to your unique needs, creating a safe and supportive space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and work toward personal growth. In addition to addressing immediate challenges, I also help clients explore aspects of identity and self-esteem, strengthening resilience and empowering you to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and balance in your life.

Virtual Therapy

Virtual therapy allows us to connect in a way that’s flexible and accessible, while still offering the same compassionate, professional support as in-person sessions. I provide secure, confidential video counselling so you can feel safe and heard as we work together. Whether you're navigating anxiety, stress, relationships, or life changes, virtual therapy makes it easier to prioritize your well-being, without added barriers like travel or scheduling challenges.

  • In a counselling session, you can expect a welcoming, non-judgmental space where your experiences are met with respect and compassion. My approach is trauma-informed, which means we move at a pace that feels safe for you, and your comfort, choice, and emotional well-being are always at the forefront. We’ll begin by exploring what brought you here and what you’d like support with, but there’s never any pressure to share more than you’re ready for.

During our work together, you won’t be told what to do or rushed toward solutions. Instead, I’ll listen closely, offer thoughtful guidance, and introduce practical tools to help you understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns in a way that feels empowering. Everything you share is confidential, creating a space where you can speak openly and honestly without fear of judgment.

Counselling is a collaborative process, one where you’re supported as you gain clarity, build resilience, and move toward greater balance and confidence. My role is to walk alongside you, offering a grounded, compassionate presence as you navigate whatever challenges you’re facing.
